Frequently Asked Questions
Everything students and parents typically ask before diving in.
01Which boards does Board Formulas cover?▾
We cover CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) and Maharashtra State Board (SSC/HSC). Both Class 10 and Class 12 for all four core subjects — Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
02Is Board Formulas free?▾
Yes. All formulas, solved examples, derivations, common mistakes and practice questions are 100% free — no login, no paywall, no forced sign-up.
03Is the content updated for the latest 2025–26 syllabus?▾
Yes. Chapters follow the current NCERT (for CBSE) and Maharashtra State Bureau textbooks. We review content each academic year for the latest board syllabus changes.
04Does the site work offline?▾
Yes. Board Formulas is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once you visit a chapter, it is cached and available even without an internet connection.
05Which subjects and classes are covered?▾
Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology — for Class 10 (SSC / CBSE 10) and Class 12 (HSC / CBSE 12) under both CBSE and Maharashtra State Board.
06Can I print or download the formulas?▾
Yes. Every chapter page has a Print button that produces a clean, printer-friendly PDF-style sheet you can save or print for revision.
07How are solved examples different from practice questions?▾
Solved examples show the full step-by-step working — great for learning a method. Practice questions give you the problem and a hidden answer, so you can attempt and self-check.
08Do you cover derivations?▾
Yes, wherever the derivation is short and adds intuition (Coulomb's law, capacitance energy, Nernst equation, Hardy-Weinberg, integration by parts, etc.), we include a click-to-reveal derivation under each formula.
09Are common mistakes really useful?▾
Extremely. Most marks lost in board exams come from sign errors, unit slips, or formula confusion — not lack of knowledge. Every chapter lists 4–6 traps and the correct approach.
10How can I contribute or report an error?▾
